"Changed On The Way Out!"
James 1:22 admonishes us– “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
A meaningful church service is not measured by how loud we shouted, how well the Praise Team or choir sang, or even how eloquent the preacher spoke. A meaningful church service is when you walk out of the sanctuary thinking about what needs to change in you.
Too often, we come to church looking for a feeling, but God is looking for transformation. We want inspiration, but God is calling for application. It’s not enough to say “That was a good word”—the real question is, “What is that word doing in me?”
When the Word truly reaches your heart, it will challenge you. It will confront your attitude, convict your spirit, and call you higher. You might walk in comfortable, but if the Word has its way, you walk out convicted! Because the goal of the Gospel is not just sharing information—it is about securing transformation!
So the next time you leave the sanctuary, don’t just remember the message—become the message. And when you start doing what God has spoken, that’s when you start becoming a doer of the word because it shows up in your life.
For you see, there's not much value in "churching" if you're not changing
God Bless,
