22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. James 1-22:25

When you come to church what's your purpose? Is it spectate or participate?

When you look up the word spectate it is defined as : to watch what's going on without participating. 

Now if you look up the word participate it is defined as:

to take part or have a share in something in common with others.

What's my point? When we come into the house of the Lord He wants us as His children to be on one accord. One accord in prayer, on one accord in praise and worship, on one accord in fellowship. And most of all focused on the preached word Amen! 

If you came to spectate, be judgmental, critical, tight lipped, in a bad mood, anti social then you might as well have stayed home! If you choose not to participate your blocking the Blessings that God has for you.

If your to busy worried about the things that are not of God then your blocking your own blessings. If you love negativity rather than being nice your missing out on what God has for you so stop spectating and start participating so that you can receive the overflow of Blessings that God has for you.

Often times we fix our focus on Mess that we miss the message Amen!  Stop worrying about the person next to you, the person behind you, the person in front of you and focus on the Father! 

Stop playing church and realize that we are the church. How do we expect to reach the lost when some of us still need to be found? We are to offer a safe place of love, peace, unity, forgiveness, so stop spectating and start participating because as your spectating and not participating there is someone watching you and that's God and what He thinks should matter the most!
